Step1. Log in to instagram.com from a computer. You can't temporarily disable your account from within the Instagram app.

Step 2. Click your profile picture in the top right and click Profile, then click Edit profile.

Step 3. Scroll down, then click temporarily disable my account in the bottom right.

Step 3. Click on the profile button in the top-right corner.

Step 4. Tap on Profile.

Step 5. Next to your profile picture and user name, select Edit Profile.

Step 6. Scroll down and select the Temporarily disable my account link.

Step 7. Select a reason why you are disabling your account.

Step 8. Re-enter your password.

Step 9. Click on the button that says Temporarily Disable Account.

Step 10. To reactivate the account, log back into it

Method 3. How to delete your Instagram account permanently 

Step 1. From a browser, go to Instagram’s dedicated page for deleting accounts.

Step 2. If you are not logged in, you have to log in on your Instagram.

Step 3. Select your reason for deleting the account after this entered your password.
